Dr. Dan Sullivan has assembled an outstanding team of
medical, risk reduction and IT professionals dedicated
to perfecting a system solution that reduces medical error
and improves patient safety. |

Daniel
Sullivan, MD, JD, FACEP
President and CEO
Background: Dr. Dan Sullivan is the President and CEO
of The Sullivan Group. Dr. Sullivan is board certified
in Emergency Medicine, a Fellow in the American College
of Emergency Physicians, a member of the American Medical
Association, and an Associate Professor of Emergency
Medicine at Cook County Hospital/Rush Medical College.
Dr. Sullivan received his law degree from IIT Kent College
of Law in 1989. He has been practicing Emergency Medicine
for over 25 years.
Dr. Sullivan is the Chairman of the Board at MEA Management,
LLC, providing Emergency Medicine contract services
to emergency departments, urgent care centers and occupational
medicine facilities. He is the Past-Chairman of the
Department of Emergency Medicine at Ingalls Hospital
in Harvey, Illinois (1990–2000). He is a Past-President
of the Illinois College of Emergency Physicians and
was the Executive Editor of the Emergency Department
Legal Letter from 1996 to 1998.
Dr. Sullivan has authored numerous patient safety and
risk management-related books and articles, including:
- High Risk Acute Care, The Failure to Diagnose, a
web-based educational series for Emergency Physicians,
Allied Health Professionals and Emergency Nurses.
- Co-Editor of Emergency Medicine Risk Management,
2d ED., American College of Emergency Physicians.
- Co-Author of Before You Sign - Contract Basics for
the Emergency Physician, American College of Emergency
Physicians.
- Author of EMTALA, A Comprehensive Review, a text
and web-based educational program.
- Author of numerous web-based educational offerings
focused on Emergency Medicine error reduction, quality
patient care, risk management and EMTALA.
- Dr. Sullivan is a regular speaker on patient safety,
risk management, EMTALA, and other medical legal topics
for the American College of Emergency Physicians.
He has also been a guest speaker for the American
College of Osteopathic Emergency Physicians, and has
provided numerous risk management programs for insurance
companies, hospitals, legal firms, and other organizations.
Dr. Sullivan is an expert on the Emergency Medical
Treatment and Active Labor Act (EMTALA). He has been
invited to speak at many hospitals around the country
that have organized EMTALA programs, and he has assisted
numerous hospitals in response to alleged EMTALA violations. |

Sean Parrish
Chief Operating Officer
Background: Sean is responsible for managing TSG’s
general operations and financial activities. Sean also
works with TSG customers and staff on client-specific
consulting engagements, program managing some larger
customer initiatives when necessary. Sean honed his
quality and project management skills over five years
working as a nuclear engineer at Pearl Harbor. After
transitioning to business Sean held roles increasing
leadership and responsibility in Finance, Management
and Operations at Tandem, Compaq and Schwab before coming
to The Sullivan Group.
Sean holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from the
University of Hawaii and an M.B.A. in Finance and Operations
from Indiana University's Kelley School of Business. |

Nora Sullivan,
RN
V.P. Client Services
Background: Before joining The Sullivan Group, Nora
Sullivan spent 25 years in the healthcare field, including
service as a registered nurse in the Surgical Intensive
Care Unit of Rush Presbyterian St. Lukes Medical Center
in Chicago, Illinois, where she specialized in treating
post surgical open-heart and other critical care patients.
Her acumen in emergency care environments and constant
drive to improve patient care advanced Nora to the position
of Quality Assurance Coordinator of Cook County Hospital,
where she honed and employed methodologies to improve
safety and performance in each of the organization’s
critical care departments, including its ED and Trauma
Unit.
For the next eleven years Nora served as the Director
of Quality Improvement at Gottlieb Memorial Hospital
in Melrose Park, IL, where she developed superior performance
protocols and provided ongoing quality & risk management
education to the hospital and medical staff.
Her experience and passion for helping people make
Nora an invaluable member of the TSG team. Over the
past decade, Nora has performed a vital role in acquiring,
supporting and retaining TSG’s client base by
providing continuing customer support, product training
and account-specific management, as well as directing
on-site audits to ensure accuracy and quality. Nora’s
role in the creation of the EM Risk Initiative web-based
application has been invaluable to the product’s
continued development, enhancement and performance.
Looking forward, Nora’s ambitions include the
formal launch of TSG’s “Client for Life”
program, a project designed to expand client services
and take advantage of her talents at an executive level.
Nora is also excited about TSG’s entry into the
UK and overseas markets, and her role in overseeing
company customer relations across the globe. |

Tom Coleman
V.P. Information Technology
Background: Tom Coleman has specialized in Information
Technology for more than 15 years, including posts as
the Network Engineer for Cybertek Corporation and the
Custom Software Developer for ICC, Inc., a healthcare-focused
network and software development company. Tom’s
experience with network infrastructure, interactive
software design, security applications, and research
and development, coupled with a discerning anticipation
of industry trends, makes Tom an apt coordinator of
The Sullivan Group’s team of dedicated IT professionals.
During the last decade, Tom has continued his focus
on the healthcare sector as a member of The Sullivan
Group, utilizing the talents of his team in direct collaboration
with Dr. Sullivan, working together to develop interactive
products, including TSG’s audit system and online
education courses, and establish multi-level security
systems for all critical data.
TSG’s gifted IT team enjoys an extremely high
customer and product satisfaction rating, owing to their
unique devotion to the company’s mission and the
services it provides. Tom and his team have expanded
their IT undertakings to include directing the development,
administration and modification of TSG’s pioneering
products to meet the unique needs of the UK market,
and providing an adaptive blueprint for the improved
delivery and safety of emergency healthcare services
in countries around the world. |

Jane Negronida
General Counsel
Background: Ms. Negronida is TSG's General Counsel and
is a member of the Illinois Bar and United States District
Court for the Northern District of Illinois.
Ms. Negronida is a native of Boston, Massachusetts.
She earned her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration
with an emphasis on marketing from the University of
Wisconsin-Platteville in 1985. Ms. Negronida graduated
from The John Marshall Law School in 1994. During law
school, Ms. Negronida was staff editor for The Journal
of Computer and Information Law. Ms. Negronida has written
in the area of securities regulation and is a member
of the Health Care Law Committee and Securities Law
Committee of the Chicago Bar Association. Ms. Negronida
is co-author of the article State (Blue Sky) Exemptions
for Private Placements Made in Reliance Upon Regulation
D.
Prior to joining TSG, Ms. Negronida was a partner in
the healthcare department of Harris Kessler & Goldstein
LLC, which served as TSG's outside counsel. Ms. Negronida
has experience negotiating and drafting contracts, licensing
agreements, employment agreements and shareholder/operating
agreements. Ms. Negronida has counseled medical and
dental providers, groups, associations and management
companies and non-medical entities from inception to
dissolution on formation, corporate and health care
related issues. Ms. Negronida has negotiated and drafted
stock purchase and asset purchase agreements for the
purchase and sale of professional practices and non-professional
businesses and has advised clients on business structure
and planning, state and federal securities law matters,
restrictive covenant issues, licensing, Stark II, anti-kickback,
HIPAA and related compliance issues. |
